Cookies
What we store in your browser.
The short version: we use a small amount of browser storage to remember things like your form submissions and your category filter preferences. We don't track you across other sites.
What is a cookie?
Cookies (and similar browser storage like localStorage) are small bits of data a website saves in your browser to remember information between visits.
What we use
Strictly necessary
wr-newsletter-subscribers,wr-ideas-leads— temporary local storage of submissions you've made through site forms, used to confirm your submission and prevent duplicates. Will be moved server-side when our email provider is wired.
Functional
- Filter preferences on the Field Notes page (e.g., which category chip you last selected) — currently in-page only, not persisted.
What we don't use
- No third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.).
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No social media tracking pixels.
Managing cookies
You can clear our local storage at any time through your browser's privacy controls. We do not use a consent banner for the storage listed above because all of it is either strictly necessary or functional under GDPR. If we ever add analytics, we'll add a consent banner before turning it on.
